Making Mixed-Use Development Work

Wednesday, November 28th, 2012 5:30-8:00pm
Santa Clara County Valley Labor Center
2102 Almaden Road (Hall A), San Jose, CA 95125

Join us for a Working Partnerships Social Innovators Series event to learn about the role of mixed-use development projects (e.g. construction projects that blend a combination of residential and retail uses) in building a healthier community. Developers will present the specific challenges, obstacles, and opportunities that exist for creating successful mixed-use development in the South Bay.  Afterward, we'll discuss strategies for how we can make our communities economically, environmentally, and socially healthier and more resilient.  No charge, open to the public, dinner provided

Our goal:
To build a stronger community around solutions to the structural changes to come in our region and strategies to ensure our cities can become healthier places--socially, environmentally, and economically.

Decision makers, community leaders, union members, developers, affordbale housing advocates, business leaders, environmentalists
